The McCallister Manor

The exterior of this home is architecturally a play on "the home alone house" but we really wanted to do something unexpected in the interior. So although this home has some traditional elements, we worked to mix design styles intentionally. For example, we have a nod to Parisian elements in the front sitting area with chevron flooring and panel molding but added a touch of mid century modern with the lighting and styled an Eames lounger. The halls have wood cladded ceilings for that traditional cozy feel yet we have full glass elliptical walls leading into the office which is more transitional. The kitchen of this home is set up to display artwork rather than upper cabinetry and we have unexpected hints of brass in the beam work and island legs. We've mixed wood wainscoting with color blocking trim, different styles of wallpaper treatments, clay tiles that play with both pattern and color, and a lot of lighting that leans more 1920s-1950s rather than 2026. Eclectic design in this case, lead to the most beautiful mix of finishes and we have simply fallen in love with this home.
